Dolphins-Thank you!
Monday, January 5th, 2009Dolphins-Thank You for a Great Season!
The Dolphins went from 1-15 last year to 11-5 (6) this year. What puzzles me the most is not what happened on January 4th, 2009 but how is that Coach Tony Sparano lost NFL Coach of the year by 1 vote. I and many in the biz felt he was a lock. That news came out before the Dolphins and the Ravens game on Sunday.
What happened on Sunday? It doesn’t matter. The Ravens showed up and played great. The Dolphins lost to Baltimore 27-9.
Coach Tony Sparano, Chad Pennington, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Joey Porter, Devone Bess, Ted Ginn, Jr., Patrick Cobbs, Jake Long, Yeremiah Bell and Anthony Fasano are names you know and will hear over and over again a long time. The Dolphins studied film, practiced hard and played all season as a team. They never quit. What a fantastic season.
Inside the locker room: Wayne Huizenga is expected to soon sell his majority interest in the Dolphins and Dolphin Stadium to billionaire real estate developer Stephen Ross. The final negotiations could be completed within days and a closing will follow. Don’t worry Dol-Fans. Bill Parcells is on the job and has promised to stay on to fix what is wrong or what needs to be improved.
Dolphins, Thank you!
